Did you know that 1 in 4 construction workers are neurodivergent? That’s almost double the national average, according to the latest report from the National Federation of Builders (NFB).*

That’s why companies like Structura are taking steps to create more inclusive workplaces for their staff.

After completing neurodiversity training and making changes to better support employees, Structura took part in the NDEI® to get feedback on what they were doing well and where they could improve further.

Daniel Rickman, Managing Director at Structura, said:

"Winning a gold award was one of my proudest moments in the business. I was delighted to see that we had the right support in place and that the team are aware of it.

I think the NDEI® is an incredibly powerful tool. The recommendations in our company report were especially helpful, and it's great to have the opportunity to do more as best practice evolves."

We’re proud to support organisations that are working to make their workplaces more inclusive for neurodivergent people.

Have you had experience with urgent and emergency care?

We're asking autistic people and parents/carers in London to share their experiences of urgent and emergency care. This includes times when you used 111 or 999, or times when you needed help but did not contact these services.

Your feedback will help Autistica and the London Ambulance Service understand:

- What makes it easier or harder to contact 111 or 999
- What the experience of calls and ambulance care is like
- What practical changes could improve the service for autistic people

The online survey will ask you a few questions about your experience of using emergency services.

The survey will take around 30 minutes to complete. To find out more information and take part, choose one of the links below:

Over 7 in 10 autistic people have mental health conditions. That's why we worked with leading researchers to develop, test and release an app to help autistic people self-manage their anxiety.

We're glad to be involved in this timely report led by Autism Alliance UK. It reinforces what autistic people and families have been telling us: the current system isn’t working as it should.

There is a clear need for long-term, joined-up change that focuses on people’s strengths and needs and provides early, personalised support, with the flexibility to adapt over time.

The report calls for investment and a long-term strategy to reform the systems that diagnose and support autistic people. We’re already testing a strengths and needs-led approach and working with other leading academics to help address the diagnosis crisis.

Anna shares her 'So what?' as part of our campaign this World Autism Acceptance Month.

We know too many autistic people are judged for things that are simply part of who they are and how they experience the world. Anna agreed to be part of our film 'Autistic. So what?' to help non-autistic people better understand how neurodivergent people experience the world, and be less quick to make judgements.

Thank you Anna for sharing your experience!

We asked you to share your autistic traits to help non-autistic people be slower to judge and more understanding. Here's what you shared with us!
