It was brilliant to welcome our local MP, Uma Kumaran, to see first-hand the impact of the work we do across our organisation.

Uma joined us for our Family Open Day, one of the many community events we hold each year, showcasing the work of our member organisations alongside local artists, performers and facilitators.

We love sharing what we do with our local community and are incredibly proud to be based in Tower Hamlets. Being surrounded by such wonderful neighbours, friends and families is what makes our community so special.

⭐️ Family Open Day 2026 ⭐️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Family Open Day!

This past weekend, we opened our doors for a fun-filled, art-packed day celebrating creativity and our local community.
Some highlights from the day included:

• Bird Rave performance and workshop by Miss High Leg Kick • Craft and projection workshop with local artist Sara Heywood • Pot decorating and planting with Rita from Seeds for Growth • Clay Play workshop with Chisenhale Studio Artist Aycin Sahin • And so much more!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported the event. We are especially grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for their vital support in making this day possible.

⭐️Family Open Day 2026⭐️

Chisenhale Art Place invites you and your family to a fun-filled, art packed day celebrating culture and community in Bow this Spring.

Some Family Open Day activities include:

- Free performance and workshop of ‘Bird Rave’ by Miss High Leg Kick at 1:45pm and 3pm
- See the latest exhibition at Chisenhale Gallery, ‘Liquid Trust’ by Rachel Crowther
- Craft and projection workshop for all ages by local artist Sara Heywood
- Chisenhale Studios Field Notes initiative supporting young curators Exhibition in Studio 4.
- Decorating Pots and Planting with Rita, from Seeds for Growth.
- Clay Play workshop with Chisenhale Studio Artist Aycin Sahin.
