What’s on at the Chisenhale Arts and Community Street Party 2026!

Saturday 5th September, 1–7pm

Workshops from our Partners, Artists and Friends of Chisenhale

* 1–4pm - DesignBloom Craft Workshop
* 2–6pm - Vroomlabs Shrine to the Everyday Workshop
* 2–5pm - Natural Crowns with Rita from Seeds for Growth
* 3–6pm - Printmaking Workshop with Chisenhale Studio Artist Diana Taylor

Performances & Activities

* Community Quiz - Come along and test your knowledge! Everyone is welcome to take part.
* Community Raffle - Join in for the chance to win!
* Line Dancing - Get moving and join a line dancing session led by members of our community.
* Chisenhale Gallery - Drop in and see the latest exhibition, Still Life, by Jasper Marsalis.
* DJ all day - Enjoy music throughout the afternoon.

All activities are free to attend and available on a drop-in basis.

Come together, relax and enjoy the outdoors between workshops and performances! There will also be chalk drawing, chess boards and a community picnic for everyone to enjoy.

⭐️Street Party⭐️

Chisenhale Art Place and Driffield Conservation Area Residents’ Association are pleased to invite you to join our street party, taking place on Chisenhale Road for an afternoon of fun, creativity, performances and community.

All activities are free to attend and available on a drop-in basis, just turn up on the day to take part. Check the Eventbrite page in our link in bio to see the full line-up and timings.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for their vital support in making this day possible. The National Lottery Community Fund , and to Driffield Conservation Area Residents’ Association for partnering up with us to deliver this event.

It was brilliant to welcome our local MP, Uma Kumaran, to see first-hand the impact of the work we do across our organisation.

Uma joined us for our Family Open Day, one of the many community events we hold each year, showcasing the work of our member organisations alongside local artists, performers and facilitators.

We love sharing what we do with our local community and are incredibly proud to be based in Tower Hamlets. Being surrounded by such wonderful neighbours, friends and families is what makes our community so special.

Thank you, Uma, for taking the time to visit, meet our community and learn more about our work.

⭐️ Family Open Day 2026 ⭐️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Family Open Day!

This past weekend, we opened our doors for a fun-filled, art-packed day celebrating creativity and our local community.
Some highlights from the day included:

• Bird Rave performance and workshop by Miss High Leg Kick • Craft and projection workshop with local artist Sara Heywood • Pot decorating and planting with Rita from Seeds for Growth • Clay Play workshop with Chisenhale Studio Artist Aycin Sahin • And so much more!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported the event. We are especially grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for their vital support in making this day possible.

⭐️Family Open Day 2026⭐️

Chisenhale Art Place invites you and your family to a fun-filled, art packed day celebrating culture and community in Bow this Spring.

Some Family Open Day activities include:

- Free performance and workshop of ‘Bird Rave’ by Miss High Leg Kick at 1:45pm and 3pm
- See the latest exhibition at Chisenhale Gallery, ‘Liquid Trust’ by Rachel Crowther
- Craft and projection workshop for all ages by local artist Sara Heywood
- Chisenhale Studios Field Notes initiative supporting young curators Exhibition in Studio 4.
- Decorating Pots and Planting with Rita, from Seeds for Growth.
- Clay Play workshop with Chisenhale Studio Artist Aycin Sahin.
