Cranbrook Community Garden in Bethnal Green is one of the many taking part in London Open Gardens this weekend.

Once an abandoned playground, it's now a thriving food growing space run and enjoyed by Cranbrook residents.

Huge thanks to them and our own volunteers for taking part and making visitors feel so welcome.

Drop- in, pause, chat and have a read of their recipe book based on ingredients grown in the garden. Copies can be bought through their webpage.

Dum dum da da da da dum... Fassett Square famous for being the inspiration behind Eastenders' Albert Square is welcoming visitors as part of London Open Gardens today.

There are plants for sale, cakes, pies and hot drinks on offer in this relaxed space with diverse planting and a custom made BBQ partially designed by local children.
