Founder and patron of the Rudolph Walker Foundation and best known to millions as Patrick Trueman in EastEnders, Rudolph’s career spans over six decades across stage, screen and voice, with standout roles including Love Thy Neighbour, The Thin Blue Line, 10 Rillington Place, Bhaji on the Beach and Ali G Indahouse, as well as his iconic narration for Teletubbies.
In 2018, he received the British Soap Award for Outstanding Achievement, and in 2021 was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to drama and diversity.
This evening will take the form of a relaxed fireside conversation, reflecting on Rudolph Walker CBE remarkable career, his experiences as a trailblazer for Black British actors, and his ongoing commitment to nurturing future talent through The Rudolph Walker Foundation, which supports disadvantaged young people into careers in the creative industries.
Set within the intimate surroundings of Soul Mama, this event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from a true cultural elder, thoughtful, reflective and rich with lived experience.
