ORA Singers

ORA Singers Award-winning vocal ensemble directed by Suzi Digby OBE. World-leading commissioners of choral music. Want to support ORA's work at no cost to you?

ORA is a professional vocal ensemble made up of some of the leading singers in choral music, founded by Suzi Digby OBE. ORA seeks to captivate audiences with the highest standards of musical excellence combined with a fresh and engaging approach to performance. ORA is not just about singing, though that is at the core of its being, it is also about engaging audiences on many levels with a dramatic

and all-encompassing approach to performance that makes true ‘events’ out of concerts. ORA came into being through a belief that we are in a second golden age of choral music, matching that of the Renaissance. The choir’s performances and recordings showcase ‘classic’ masterpieces of Renaissance choral music alongside specially commissioned reflections from prominent and award-winning contemporary composers. ORA is a UK registered charity and relies heavily on the support of it's generous donors. Our Young Composers recently joined us for a workshop led by the brilliant , where they were able to test out their ideas and sketches with some of our singers! 🎶 Each of them have been hard at work writing a piece that reflects either Philippe De Monte’s ‘Superflumina Babylonis’ or Robert Parsons’ ‘Ave Maria a 5’, and this was the first chance for them to hear their ideas sung live!

A big thank you for Oliver Tarney for leading the workshop 🙏 We had a great time working on their pieces, and we can’t wait to see the finished products soon! ➡️

Join us on 31st July, 15:00 for our Young Composers’ Showcase, where we’ll perform and record their brand new pieces in concert! We’ll be joined by a panel of industry experts who will decide our Winner and Runner Up, and you can take part in the action by voting for the recipient of the Audience Prize!

Come and hear the sounds of the next generation! Tickets are available via the link below or through our bio 🔗
