The Prince of Wales first visited Skenfrith, a small village in South-East Wales which continues to be devastated by floods to meet local residents and heat first-hand about the impact flooding has had on their daily lives, learn more about the challenges the community continue to face and their needs as they head into another winter.
Afterwards, he visited White Castle Farm, to meet representatives from Stump Up For Trees, a community based environmental charity working across South Wales to restore native woodland and recognise its powerful potential to support sustainable solutions to flooding risk.
Finally, the Prince in his role as the Duke of Cornwall he paid a visit to Monkhall Farm to meet 25-year-old Harry Davies, the incoming tenant of The Duchy of Cornwall’s first regenerative Farm Business Tenancy (rFBT). He also met representatives from Regenified, who will be carrying out baseline assessments at Monkhall Farm as part of a Duchy-funded initiative to help its tenant farmers measure and evidence regenerative progress.
