Girls United is an organisation that fights for a world with a level playing field, on and off the pitch – using football as a tool for the empowerment of individuals and to promote gender equality. We set-up clubs and programmes in local communities that create safe spaces for football practices that go beyond the technical and tactical by using our Girls United Methodology, to develop confident

leaders and role models. We provide players with the opportunity to succeed on and off the pitch by developing life skills that allow them to find their voices and pursue their ambitions in sport, education and in their careers.

Spotlight on Girls United Mexico⚽️🇲🇽

Ahead of the World Cup, the team hosted Su Juego, Su Mundial (Her Game, Her World Cup) with FIFA, an event celebrating grassroots football and giving the World Cup spirit back to the community.

Parents and family members volunteered before sunrise to help set up. Sisters and cousins joined in, inspired by the girls already playing. And the impact went beyond the field, building confidence, friendships, and community.

Coach spotlight: Lindsay 🇺🇸⚽

Our very own soccer star. Playing since she was 5, chasing the ball all over California through her travel soccer days, Lindsey knows what it means to love this game inside and out.

Two ACL surgeries and a few too many meniscus tears later, she found joy in coaching. She brings so much energy to every session, always looking for ways to bring fun into training, and always with a smile on her face.

Dedicated, hardworking, and an absolute baller. We’re lucky to have her. ❤️

☀️⚽️👏We took over Peckham Rye for a second season, this time showing a strong display of how to bring a community together. From an extended regular PLG session, to an Adult Beginners session, to 1:1 sessions, to a boot drive and fundraising, this takeover celebrated GU within the community.

PLG Programme Lead Lee reflected on the morning of action: “I loved seeing how busy the event was. It was a hive of colourful activity with so many people wearing their countries colours, smiling and enjoying themselves on a Sunday morning”

Our most recent Adult Session was one for the books! Running as part of our Takeover on Peckham Rye, parents of players as well as other members of our community came together to return to football or try something new and everyone smashed it 🏟️
