The Centre for Hizmet Studies (CHS) has been closely monitoring developments surrounding Turkey’s forthcoming general amnesty legislation.

We acknowledge the passing of Fethullah Gulen, the Turkish Islamic scholar, peace advocate, and inspiration behind the global Hizmet movement. His teachings on education, dialogue, and service to humanity have touched countless lives across more than 160 countries.

We extend our condolences to Gulen’s family, his friends, and all those who have been impacted by his vision of service to humanity.

Fethullah Gulen had been absent from public life for nearly a year due to health concerns. While his passing was not unexpected, it remains a deeply painful moment for his followers. This marks a significant turning point for the Hizmet movement, as it now faces the challenge of navigating its future in the absence of its founding leader.
