*DF2027 SURVEY*
In my entirely unofficial, self-appointed and completely unmerited position as one of the arbiters and tastemakers of the grass-roots heavy scene in London, I shamelessly took it upon myself yesterday (alcohol may have been involved 🤫) to create a poll asking YOU - our Civilians - who you thought should, theoretically, in an ideal world (and again I have to stress that I have zero say, clout or influence in this 😂 - I did say that right?) be considered for one of the coveted ‘debut’ slots for up and coming bands in next year’s 2027.
While I personally believe that ALL of these exceptional bands are at the right level to smash a debut DF slot, and are ready for the challenge - this is what YOU on the public voting panel decided, with a remarkable 150 or so votes cast:
1 - - 35% (winners by a nose!!!)
2 - - 34%
3 - - 23%
4 - - 9%
Big love and kudos to the above bands for being some of the most hot s**t heavy bands on the scene right now, and let’s hope that the gods are kind next year, and that we’ll get a handful of ‘our’ bands onto the legendary DF London stages once again in 2027… 🤞
