On Wednesday, we kicked off June with our monthly Inspire Hour! 🌟

Every month, the CREW will invite an inspiring woman to join our community online and speak about their experiences, tell their story, and impart wisdom.

This month, we welcomed to share her journey and wisdom with our community. Swipe for some golden pieces of life advice πŸ’•

Daisy is also one of our SHF Champions and a former employee, and is currently walking a heroic 100 miles in June to fundraise for survivors! You can support her via the link in her bio πŸ₯‡

We look forward to seeing you all at the next one!

For our May Inspire Hour, we welcomed Anna, a previous participant of our programme who shared her journey as a fleeing war to becoming a thriving advocate for others like her.

Anna had so much wisdom to share - from practical advice for others in similar situations to heartfelt words of self-love.

Have a read through some of the profound thoughts she shared with us on the day. πŸ’•

During Week 4 of our Conversational English course, CEFI, we ask the participants to celebrate who they are and the achievements they've made by sharing what they are proud of.

Many of the participants of this programme have the English skills they need to reach fluency, but the confidence isn't quite there. During CEFI, we help them build that confidence in themselves and their skills, watching them flourish across six weeks of trauma-informed conversational practice.

This cohort, our participants would like to share what they are proud of, and remind you to celebrate yourself and your achievements. πŸ’•

Local elections are 🚨TOMORROW!🚨

With nearly 5,000 councillors set to be elected across 136 councils, you vote tomorrow matters - particularly for ensuring survivors receive the identification and support they need.

is an issue that relies on local authorities for solutions. Local authorities set policies affecting:

- Victim identification and referral
- Survivor support services in the community
- Keeping council supply chains exploitation-free
..and much more!

Tomorrow, do your research into which candidates in your local area are prioritising the issue of exploitation, and vote with survivors in mind πŸ—³

To all those with - we understand that this can be a tricky time, seeing these issues conflated with political positions and the circulation of triggering rhetoric. If you find yourself struggling, please reach out to us ❀️

Exploitation shouldn't be a 'low risk, high
reward' business.

At Sophie Hayes Foundation, we are
incredibly proud to join other leading anti-
slavery charities in a powerhouse coalition to
launch the 'Decade of dignity' report.

This isn't just another report. It's a 10-year
roadmap to fix the broken systems that allow
modern slavery to thrive in plain sight.

We're moving past awareness and
demanding real, systemic change:

πŸ‘‰ Building a new legislative foundation for
corporate accountability.

πŸ‘‰ Policing that treats modern slavery as a top
priority.

πŸ‘‰ Long-term support that helps survivors
thrive.

πŸ‘‰ A unified plan to protect children from being
targeted by criminal gangs.

We believe a slave-free UK is possible by
2036. But it takes all of us - government,
business, and community - refusing to look
the other way.

Join the movement. Read the full strategic
vision at the link in our story.
