Since the opening our first hospital in 1998 we have seen more than 1,900,000 patients. It is estimated that there are more than 100 million children in economically challenged countries who could be cured through an operation.

Today is World Clubfoot Day 💚

Clubfoot affects around 1 in every 1,000 babies born worldwide, with an estimated 200,000 children born with the condition each year. In Zimbabwe alone, around 460 children are born with clubfoot annually.

Many live in places where access to medical care is limited, and without treatment, clubfoot can cause pain and severely affect mobility.

Yet when treated early, children can go on to walk, play, attend school, and thrive.

These photos show Tanaka before and after treatment at . When she first arrived, walking was difficult and painful. Today, she can move more freely and look ahead to the future with renewed confidence and excitement.

Stories like Tanaka’s are possible because children have access to skilled medical care and the support of generous donors.

On World Clubfoot Day, we celebrate children like Tanaka, and the healthcare professionals, families, and supporters who help make these life-changing journeys possible.

Today, we wanted to share an inspiring story from CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe.

Joseph’s journey began with uncertainty, as his bowed legs worsened over time, leaving him in pain and unable to play the football he loved. Just when hope seemed lost, his father learned about CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe, where generous donors made his life-changing surgery possible.

After a successful operation and a spiritually uplifting recovery, Joseph not only regained his strength but also discovered a deeper faith and renewed confidence. 💚

For years, 16-year-old Sharmaine dreamed of one simple thing: wearing trousers with confidence.

Born with bowed legs in both knees, she was teased at school and in constant pain. Her mother, Eustina, believed there was no hope for improving her daughter’s condition after early treatment was unsuccessful.

Then everything changed. Through the support of generous sponsors, Sharmaine was able to receive surgery at CURE Zimbabwe.

Today she stands tall and walks without pain.

Because of you, Sharmaine didn’t just receive treatment - she regained her confidence and her future. ✨

💫“When I grow up, I want to be a professional football player.”

For years, Takudzwa’s knocked knees made running painful and difficult. A local hospital told his mother they didn’t have the equipment to help, so they began to lose hope.

Everything changed when a CURE Zimbabwe mobile clinic came to their town.

Through CURE, Takudzwa was able to receive surgery, bringing him one step closer to running, playing, and chasing his dream on the football field.

Because every child deserves the chance to dream big. 💚

In case you missed it… ✈

Last month, our team had the privilege of visiting CURE Children’s Hospital in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to help facilitate an orthopaedic training course. Over three packed days, 28 incredible trainees and consultants came together to learn, collaborate, and grow.

But beyond the training, what stood out most was the spirit of CURE. Our hospital is more than a place for surgery—it’s a place of true healing. Children who have spent their lives feeling different find friendship, support, and belonging for the first time. Their families, too, find a community that understands them.

With exciting growth ahead—like our new Prosthetics & Orthotics Workshop—we're committed to reaching even more children. And your generosity makes it possible. Thank you for being part of their journey! 💙
