POC Lily has joined the crew of the Portuguese Tall Ship the Vera Cruz to compete in the 2026 Sail International Tall Ships Race.

She set sail from Antwerp, Belgium and is currently crossing the North Sea to Stavanger, Norway, alongside 7 other Sea Cadets, crew, and trainees.

Everyone at the unit is looking forward to hearing all about it

Yesterday the cadets took part in the Sea Sunday service.
They were a credit to the unit and represented T.S. Puma brilliantly.
A special 'Bravo Zulu' to the cadets who stepped up to deliver the readings, and another BZ to Lance Corporal Kim who carried our standard

BZ (well done) to all our cadets who competed in the Area Regatta today!

It was a very early start and a long, exhausting day, but our cadets truly shone.

​A special congratulations to our individual medalists:

​POC Lily: Won Silver and Bronze in the kayaking events.

​OC Ryan: Won Silver in the double kayak.

​Our rowing team also put in a valiant effort and represented the unit brilliantly.

​A massive thank you to all the staff and volunteers who made today possible

Last week the cadets took part in Armed Forces Day.
Well done all the cadets/marines and juniors who attended. You were all very smart, very proud of you all.

Yesterday some of the cadets volunteered at The Great Get Together held at St Mary's Church

The cadets had a fantastic day and along with helping out they got to make their own pizzas and even had a go at Morris dancing!

A fantastic local community event and the cadets represented the unit wonderfully and great day was had by all

A massive BZ (well done) to all cadets and staff involved in today's regatta. It was a very long day and an early start, but the effort was amazing to see!

Girls Rowing Team winning Gold
Boys Rowing Team for Silver (so close to the gold!).
OC Ryan for wining silver and bronze in kayaking
