National Cadets Week | Cadets in the Community 🌿
As part of the first ever National Cadets Week, cadets from 34F Squadron headed out into our local community to Canons House and Grounds for a day of conservation, teamwork and making a difference.
Working alongside idverde UK and the Merton Council Greenspaces Team, our cadets got stuck into conservation work around the local park and pond, helping to support biodiversity and protect our local environment. 🌱
From getting hands on with practical conservation tasks to getting into waders and working by the pond, the cadets embraced every challenge! They also had the opportunity to learn about the importance of protecting our local ecosystems, supporting biodiversity and maintaining our green spaces for both wildlife and the wider community. 🦆🌿
The day was both rewarding and enjoyable, giving our cadets the chance to develop new skills, work as a team and make a positive contribution to the community. There was plenty of enthusiasm, new experiences and, of course, a bit of getting muddy along the way as well as finding some trophies that date back to over a century ago! 👏
And this is just one of the many things we get up as part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets . From community projects and volunteering to adventure, leadership, skills and personal development, being a cadet is all about getting involved, challenging yourself and making a difference.
