Demonstration against Baloch Genocide and Human Rights violations

Oslo – A demonstration was held by the Norwegian Baloch community in front of the Pakistani embassy in Oslo. The purpose of the protest was to condemn what they describe as the "Baloch genocide" by Pakistan, and to protest against the Pakistani delegation, which included Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, Meena Majeed, and others. A large number of Baloch participated in the demonstration.

Hi All,
In the early hours of January 27, 2026, around 2:00 A.M., Pakistani security and intelligence forces raided a house in Karachi's Lyari area. They took a man, identified as Zahid Barakzai, into custody. He has since been forcibly disappeared.

Forced disappearances have been a recurring issue in Karachi, with many people from various neighborhoods reportedly taken in previous incidents. Human rights organizations have repeatedly voiced serious concern over this ongoing trend.

Zahid Barakzai was an active member of the Amnesty International Karachi chapter, volunteering his time and supporting its various activities.
Zahid family has called on human rights organizations, civil society groups, the media, and government authorities to act immediately, ensure his safe return, and take concrete steps to prevent further cases of enforced disappearance.
