Kin Seng Lai 是科學家暨科技策略專家，擁有逾 25 年研發、科研領導及科技策略經驗，專長涵蓋 Quantum Technologies（量子科技）、雷射與複雜系統。

加入 Singapore Institute of Technology 前，他曾任 DSO National Laboratories 的 Distinguished Member of Technical Staff（傑出技術人員），領導跨領域研究團隊、規劃技術發展路線圖，並推動前沿科研成果實際應用。他亦曾為 National Research Foundation（NRF）評估研究提案與科學文獻。

目前，他正參與研究Quantum Computing（量子運算）等新興技術在能源最佳化、材料發現及氣候建模方面的應用。

🔥 Meet WFIF Speaker at | Kin Seng Lai | Associate Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology | Master Talk: Responsible Innovation in Deep Tech

Lai Kin Seng is a scientist and technology strategist with more than 25 years of experience in R&D, scientific leadership and technology strategy, with expertise spanning quantum technologies, lasers and complex systems.

Before joining the Singapore Institute of Technology, he served as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at DSO National Laboratories, where he led multidisciplinary research teams, shaped technology roadmaps and helped translate advanced science into practical applications. His expertise has also contributed to Singapore’s wider research ecosystem through reviewing scientific literature and evaluating research proposals for the National Research Foundation (NRF).

Today, his work connects deep-tech research with industry and sustainability, including assessing emerging technologies such as quantum computing for energy optimisation, materials discovery and climate modelling.
