Continuing from the success of Branching Out in 2025, Neighbourhood Hikes take place weekly, along with additional Saturday walks, and last for up to an hour with a chance to chat over refreshments at the end.

Step outside and connect with nature and your community. Explore green spaces, community gardens, and hidden nature spots across Islington’s Nature Neighbourhood.

Walks take place every Tuesday, and on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 10.30am - 12pm and always begin at the Old Fire Station, Holloway Neighbourhood Group, Mayton St, N7 6QT
Each walk end at one of our Nature Anchors, or another nearby location chosen by our volunteer walk leaders.
This Saturday 23rd May, exploring local nature, finishing at the Finsbury Park lake.
No need to book, just meet us at Holloway Neighbourhood Group at 10.30am! 🚶🌷🌳

An exuberant Jerusalem sage, some discreet fragrant sweet peas and glorious calla lily! Thank you to our four volunteering at the Thursday Gardening group . It was a lovely day, until it became a bit hot! We watered and tidied, cleared the front and spread some compost as mulch. As summers get hotter, we will have to adapt our gardening. We are looking for watering volunteers on Mondays. If it’s a commitment you can make, please visit the centre to register or email us your interest.

Register with our Volunteer team on Monday 1st June. Also welcome volunteers with skills such as woodworking (garden borders and fences), admin, decluttering, organising, removing staples from board, leafleting, door knocking, ponds maintenance, deep cleaning, dishwasher installing, plants watering, litter picking…and volunteers coordinating! 1 hour of your time once a week will do miracles!

On Friday 24th April 2026 Hilldrop Community Centre will be closed for the day, due to staff training. Please note this DOES NOT include our regular hirers activities which will continue as usual. We will be open as normal on Monday 27th April 2026. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. ゚

Craft Club on Mondays 10am-12pm at Hilldrop
Knitting, crochet, drawing, cutting out drawings for future projects, embroidery and a good chat with some tea and biscuits.

Glowing colours! Welcome back Tom. Tom, Venus and Sarah enjoyed fitful sun. Cold to start then warmed up. We sowed more seeds and did some beautiful willow weaving. Collected another crop of chard, squeaky fresh.
