Full circle moment for Miss Ghana UK 2025 2nd Runner Up Priscilla Nott returned to where it all began her old primary school, Kilburn Park as part of her passionate commitment to promoting reading and literacy among young people.
For Priscilla, this was not just a school visit. It was a homecoming. A reminder that the seeds planted in us as children can bloom into something beautiful.

She shared her love of reading with the next generation and reminded them that the more they read the further they will go. And she should know she once won a poem competition in those very halls.

We are so proud to see our titleholders using the Miss Ghana UK platform to give back in meaningful and lasting ways.
Thank you Priscilla for your heart for young people and for showing us what community leadership looks like.πŸ“šπŸ“–βœ…πŸ‘‘

What an incredible evening
On Saturday the Miss Ghana UK team had the honour of attending Women of Valour @womenofvalour_ at the prestigious Hilton Park Lane and what a night it was over 600 women gathered in one room. If you know you know. There is something truly powerful and special that happens when women come together in that way.

We were treated to deeply moving and inspiring stories from an exceptional lineup of speakers including:
Kate Henshaw | Nana Ama McBrown | Gina Moffatt | Sika Goka | Debora Shanley | Lesley Batchelor | Her Excellency Mrs Zita Sabah Benson| Obuobia Darko-Opoku

Hosted by the dynamic Serwaa Amihere and Afua Hagan with panels expertly moderated by Mami Gyamfua and Priscilla Baffour the conversation flowed, the stories resonated and every voice in that room felt seen.

Powerful stories shared experiences. Women lifting women. This is what community looks like. This is what legacy looks like. To every woman in that room on Saturday, thank you for showing up for speaking up, and for reminding us all of what is possible.

And the celebrations continued! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡βœ¨
On 6th March, Miss Ghana UK joined the community Independence Day celebrations at Oasis Banqueting Suite in Barking for a truly beautiful evening of culture, heritage and Ghanaian pride.
The night was made even more special as Her Excellency the High Commissioner Mrs Zita Sabah Benson officially launched the Ghana London Mission Magazine a landmark moment for the Ghanaian community here in the UK.
From the diplomatic halls of the High Commission to the warmth of our community coming together this was Independence Day as it should be felt. Rooted. Proud. Celebratory.
Ghana, you never fail to remind us who we are. πŸŒŸπŸ‡¬πŸ‡

Miss Ghana UK Organisation to was invited by the Ghana High Commission to attend the official diplomatic celebrations marking Ghana’s Independence Day on 5th March.

The evening was graced by Lord Boateng and a host of distinguished dignitaries, coming together to celebrate 69 years of Ghana’s proud legacy, resilience and vision.

To be represented at such a prestigious gathering is a reminder of why the work we do matters. Miss Ghana UK stands as a bridge between our heritage and our future, and moments like this affirm exactly that.
Happy Independence Day Ghana. We continue to carry you with us always. πŸŒŸπŸ‡¬πŸ‡

What a moment. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡βœ¨
This year, we had the profound honour of nominating Lemuella Yaa Owusu .x , one of our Miss Ghana UK contestants, as Ghana’s flag bearer for the Commonwealth celebrations at Westminster Abbey. And this afternoon, she carried that flag with everything it represents.
She stood in that sacred space before His Majesty King Charles III, Her Royal Highness Queen Camilla, HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales, the first female Commonwealth Secretary-General the Hon. Shirley Botchwey, the first female Ghana High Commissioner to the United Kingdom the Hon. Mrs Sabah Zitah Benson, and a room full of history in the making.
Lemuella walked into one of the most iconic spaces in the world and represented an entire nation with grace, resilience, and a quiet strength that moved us all deeply.
She did not just show up. She showed out.
For Ghana. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ For young women everywhere. For every girl watching who needs to see what is possible.

IWD 2026 theme: To give is To Gain.
When we invest in a young woman we gain a leader. When we pour into her with mentorship, life skills and guidance she rises and takes a whole community with her.
That is the heart of everything we do at Miss Ghana UK and the MGUK Foundation.

To every young woman we have walked alongside thank you. You came to grow and you showed us what strength truly looks like.πŸŸ£πŸ’œ

Happy International Women’s Day πŸ’œ
