British Phycological Society

British Phycological Society Welcome to the British Phycological Society's Facebook site! The Society was founded in 1952, and is one of the oldest in the world.

The British Phycological Society publishes the European Journal of Phycology. The Society holds an annual two-day meeting, generally in July, which is usually attended by 100-120 persons, about half of whom are students and post-docs. It provides funding for students and others to attend meetings and fieldcourses and organises and funds annual field courses.
