Empowering Widows, Transforming Lives

The President of the Rotary Club of Tower Hamlets, Engr. Jacob Adekunle, successfully spearheaded a Widows Empowerment Project, bringing hope and sustainable support to vulnerable members of the community.

As part of this impactful initiative, each beneficiary received two goats and financial support to establish a sustainable source of income, improve their livelihoods, and build a more secure future.

The event was honoured by the presence of the President of the Rotary Club of Ado Ekiti, PHF Wumi Aluko, who led members of the club in solidarity and support for this noble humanitarian initiative.

We were also privileged to welcome His Royal Majesty, Oba B.O.A. Adetu Ajayi, a distinguished Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Rotarian, whose presence and inspiring words added great significance to the occasion.

Our sincere appreciation goes to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to the success of this life-changing project. Special recognition goes to the Chief Coordinator, Engr. Femi Ilori, whose dedication, commitment, and outstanding coordination ensured the smooth and successful ex*****on of the programme.

I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members of the Rotary Club of Tower Hamlets for their unwavering support and collective effort in making this project a resounding success.

Together, we continue to create lasting change through our motto, "Service Above Self." May this initiative continue to inspire hope, empower families, and strengthen our communities.

Leadership Handover 2026–2027

A special evening marked the official handover of leadership from President Rasib to President Jacob.

Our sincere appreciation goes to President Rasib for your unwavering dedication, hard work, and exemplary leadership throughout your term. Thank you for your service and for the many contributions you have made to our club. We wish you all the very best in your continued Rotary journey.

We are delighted to welcome President Jacob as he takes on the mantle of leadership for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. We wish you every success and look forward to supporting your vision as we continue to embrace the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.

The handover ceremony was made even more memorable as it took place at the historic Tower of London, a landmark that proudly features on our club banner, making the occasion especially meaningful for all of us.
