As Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week draws to a close, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what has been one of the most powerful, emotional, and inspiring campaigns yet
Being based here in the UK gave me the privilege of not only supporting this global movement behind the scenes, but of standing shoulder to shoulder with mothers, families, advocates, partners, and professionals who are committed to creating lasting change
Seeing Marching for Mothers campaign - launched just last year - grow into what it has become fills me with immense pride
This year, more walks than ever took place across the UK, with our flagship London event feeling nothing short of magical… a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together with purpose, compassion, and a shared vision
To every mother who shared her story.
To every family member, supporter, volunteer, partner, and professional who showed up, spoke up, walked with us, and used their voice - thank you
You didn’t just support a campaign
You helped build a movement
You helped remind mothers everywhere that they do not walk alone
But while this week may be coming to an end, our mission is not. The conversations must continue. The stigma must be challenged. The systems must change
I’m incredibly proud to continue this global partnership and remain committed to helping drive the awareness, action, and change that mothers and families everywhere so urgently deserve
Now the call to action remains:
Keep talking. Keep sharing. Keep advocating. Keep demanding better maternal mental health support for every mother, everywhere
Because one day. One week. One campaign… can spark a movement. But our voices are what create lasting change
