Our guest on Tuesday, 10th February, will be Anna Hughes, Director of Flight Free UK. Flight Free UK's mission is to 'inform people of the climate impact of aviation and inspire people to travel by other means'.

Set up in 2018, Flight Free UK is a charity that encourages people to travel without flying. They educate the public about the climate impact of aviation, and give information and inspiration for travelling by other means. They run the Flight Free Challenge which asks people to take one year off flying to reduce emissions, break a habit and try the alternatives.

Arrivals from 7pm for 7.30pm start at Studio Voltaire, 1a Nelson's Row, SW4 7JR. Visitors £5

Clapham WI members and friends enjoyed our first CWI Does... event last Saturday.

A new weekend addition to our annual calendar - so no speeding through in order to cover WI business, plus guest as per our regular meeting.

So, what a crafty way to launch our inaugural event than with a fantastic basket weaving session, led by Jane - a fun engaging teacher, no question too silly or too small, thankfully! 😁 We ALL went home with a willow vase, the odd aching thumb, but most of all, huge smiles. 🪢

🫀 October is Restart a Heart Month 🫀

This October, we're uniting behind The Resuscitation Council's awareness month to highlight how Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers. With over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occurring annually in the UK, our campaign work can make a real difference to survival outcomes for our communities.
