إحاطة مجلس العموم البريطاني حول الإبادة الجماعية ضد الايزيديين.
في 9 أيلول/سبتمبر 2025، تشرفت منظمة يزدا بتقديم إحاطة إلى اللجنة المشتركة لحقوق الإنسان قبيل مناقشة مجلس اللوردات البريطاني لتقرير اللجنة بعنوان "المساءلة عن جرائم داعش".
ضم وفد يزدا كل من المديرة التنفيذية ناتيا نافروزوف والمحامية ليلى قهاري (معتمدة في المملكة المتحدة وكندا( ويُعد تقرير اللجنة اعترافًا تاريخيًا بالحاجة الملحة لتحقيق العدالة عن الجرائم التي ارتكبها تنظيم داعش، بما في ذلك الإبادة الجماعية ضد الإيزيديين. ويسلط التقرير الضوء على الثغرات التي لا تزال قائمة في مجال المساءلة، خصوصًا بعد إغلاق فريق التحقيق التابع للأمم المتحدة (يونيتاد)، ويقدم توصيات مهمة للحكومة البريطانية.
خلال إحاطتنا إلى اللجنة المشتركة، ركزت يزدا على أربعة محاور رئيسية:
1️⃣ الوضع الحالي للمجتمع الإيزيدي، بما في ذلك الآلاف الذين ما زالوا نازحين والعديد من النساء والأطفال الذين ما زالوا مفقودين.
2️⃣ فجوة المساءلة الناتجة عن انسحاب يونيتاد والحاجة إلى ضمان الوصول إلى أرشيفها من أجل الملاحقات القضائية المستمرة.
3️⃣ السياق البريطاني – مع الإشارة إلى أنه حتى الآن لم تتم مقاضاة جرائم داعش ضد الإيزيديين في المملكة المتحدة كإبادة جماعية أو جرائم ضد الإنسانية أو جرائم حرب.
4️⃣ مطالبنا الرئيسية من الحكومة البريطانية:
• ضمان بقاء أرشيف يونيتاد آمنًا ومتاحًا وقابلًا للاستخدام القانوني في محاكمات الجرائم الجسيمة.
• العمل مع الشركاء الدوليين لضمان استمرار الزخم في التحقيقات، وإبقاء شهادات الناجين الإيزيديين في صميم جهود المساءلة.
• توفير الموارد للسلطات البريطانية لمتابعة تحقيقات هيكلية تتجاوز تهم الإرهاب وتعكس حجم جرائم داعش بالكامل.
• تعزيز الإطار القانوني البريطاني لمقاضاة الجرائم الجسيمة.
• إنشاء آلية منظمة للتعاون بين المنظمات غير الحكومية والحكومة حول الأدلة، والاستمرار في دعم الحلول الدائمة للناجين الإيزيديين.
تعمل يزدا لضمان سماع أصوات الناجين والسعي لضمان تحقيق العدالة أينما أمكن. نقدم شكرنا الى اللجنة المشتركة لحقوق الإنسان على عملها المحوري، ومعهد حقوق الإنسان التابع لجمعية المحامين الدولية على اهتمامه بهذه القضايا، ونحث الحكومة البريطانية على تنفيذ توصيات التقرير والاستماع إلى أصوات الناجين.

On September 9, 2025, Yazda was honoured to brief the Joint Committee on Human Rights ahead of the upcoming UK House of Lords debate on the Committee’s report “Accountability for Daesh crimes.”
The Yazda delegation included Executive Director Natia Navrouzov and UK and Canadian Barrister Leila Ghahhary. The Committee’s report is a landmark acknowledgment of the urgent need for justice for the crimes committed by ISIS/Daesh, including the genocide against the Yazidis. It highlights the serious gaps that remain in ensuring accountability, particularly following the closure of the UN Investigative Team (UNITAD), and it sets out important recommendations for the UK Government.
In our briefing to the Joint Committee, Yazda focused on four areas:
1️⃣ The current situation of the Yazidi community, including the thousands still displaced and the many women and children still missing.
2️⃣ The accountability gap created by UNITAD’s withdrawal and the need to secure access to its archive for ongoing prosecutions.
3️⃣ The UK context – noting that, to date, ISIS crimes against Yazidis have not been prosecuted in the UK as genocide, crimes against humanity, or war crimes.
4️⃣ Our key asks of the UK Government:
🔸 Ensure that UNITAD’s archive remains secure, accessible and legally usable for atrocity crime prosecutions.
🔸Work with international partners to ensure that investigative momentum is not lost and that Yazidi survivors’ testimonies remain central to accountability efforts.
🔸Provide resources for UK authorities to pursue structural investigations that go beyond terrorism charges and reflect the full scale of Daesh’s crimes.
🔸To strengthen its legal framework for prosecuting atrocity crimes.
🔸To create a structured mechanism for NGO-government cooperation on evidence, and to continue supporting durable solutions for Yazidi survivors.
Yazda exists to ensure that survivors’ voices are heard and that justice is pursued wherever possible. We thank the Joint Committee on Human Rights for its crucial work and the International Bar Association Human Rights Institute for its attention to these issues, and we urge the UK Government to act on the report’s recommendations and on the voices of survivors.
