Maternity Voices Partnership

A Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a NHS working group: a team of women and their families, commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors) working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care


  • Maternity Voices Partnerships are a way for mothers, birthing people, fathers and partners and their families to share their experience, knowledge and skills to build improvements to maternity services.

  • Anyone who has experience of using maternity services before, during and after pregnancy is invited to share their personal knowledge with the group. Maternity services include antenatal appointments(during pregnancy), hospital care and care you receive after you have your baby.

  • The MVP in North Middlesex is a place where everyone involved in maternity care, both professionals and anyone using those services, can work together to help to work on putting women at the centre of care. This approach will offer women information, choice and care based on evidence and real experience.
