In case you missed it, here’s a fun map of Pymmes Park. It’s not exact and it will have to be updated with the new outdoor gym which will be completed in the coming months ahead. Close to the new Pymmes Park Cafe due to be open at the end of March.

Today we worked in the Walled Garden pulling many unruly weeds. We were serenaded by a lovely pudgy Robin in a tree. It seems like every time we work in the garden one songbird will stop by and serenade us as if to say, “Thank you, now here is my song, please return soon as this is a very special garden”. If you would like to help us pull weeds and be sung to by a songbird too, please message us. We are usually in the garden between 2:30 and 4:30 on Mondays.

Afternoon visit [Friday 13th March 2026] from 1230 to 1450 GMT - 2 Little Grebe in 'breeding-plumage', 2 Mute Swan pr, 8 Greylag Goose, Canada Goose w/ metal ring [5296052], 3 Egyptian Goose including a pair, 11 Tufted Duck [8 males & 3 females], 44 Black-headed Gull, 8 Common Gull, 2 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, 19 Herring Gull, first-winter Caspian Gull [the first time that I have identified this species in the Enfield area!], male Green Woodpecker, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker [male & female], 2 male Wren singing, Robin, 6 Blackbird [5 males & 1 female], 2 Redwing, 2 Long-tailed Tit pr nest building [B], 3 Blue Tit, 3 Great Tit including two singing males, 2 Nuthatch pr [male & female], 6 House Sparrow [5 males & 1 female] & 3 Goldfinch. Our friend Robert Callf just us sent these sightings: “Afternoon visit [Friday 6th March 2026] from 1430 to 1530 GMT - 2 Mute Swan pr, 9 Greylag Goose, 1 Greylag Goose x Canada Goose hybrid, 1 Egyptian Goose, 2 Mandarin Duck pr, male Common Pochard, 16 Tufted Duck [13 males & 3 females], 11 Common Gull including one first-winter, adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, 11 imm Herring Gull, Green Woodpecker heard calling, male Wren singing, Robin, male Blackbird, 28 Redwing, male Goldcrest singing from Yew tree, 2 Blue Tit & 4 Great Tit.”
