What an incredible day of connection, learning, and celebration in Newham!

It was inspiring to see people of all ages come together to challenge ageism, share experiences, and celebrate the wisdom and contributions of older adults in our community.

It was a great honour to visit Sir Stephen Timms MP today, 5 June 2026, at East Ham Central Park alongside the True Ambassadors team. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to share our journey, reflect on our progress over the years, and discuss our ongoing work within the community .
Sir Stephen Timms is an outstanding leader who listened with genuine passion and enthusiasm. We feel truly privileged to have had the opportunity to engage with him. It was also a pleasure to meet Eilidh, a dedicated student accompanying him.
My sincere thanks to Sir Stephen Timms for his continued service and commitment to the community. I would also like to express my appreciation to the True Ambassadors team and Dr Ibn, Senior Lecturer, for their support and presence on this memorable occasion as we celebrate Volunteers’ Week.
