Achimota School (formerly the Prince of Wales College) is a co-educational school located at Achimota in Accra, Ghana

. Alexander Garden Fraser, the first Principal, and his Vice-Principal, Dr. James Emman Kwegyir Aggrey. Achimota became a co-educational boarding school set in over 200 acres of land and with its own wonderful buildings and infrastructure. It has many illustrious former pupils, including Heads of State, and a record of academic success and achievement second to none. Little wonder that a school with such high ideals and standards and with a record of high achievement should engender loyalty and fellowship among the students who have studied there and the staff who have worked there, the Old Achimotans. The history of the Old Achimotan Association in the United Kingdom provides evidence of the enduring influence that Achimota School has had and continues to have on its alumni, known as Akoras, and former staff, who are considered as honorary Akoras. The Association held its first meeting in August 1951 at the Friends’ International Centre in Tavistock Square, London,
