👑 QUEEN OF THE RESISTANCE Workshop
by Eve Obrochta 💜

What an incredible turnout for our workshop, part of the Purple Reign art show celebrating International Women’s Month! The energy was all about empowerment, creativity, and—of course—purple vibes ✨

Participants stepped out of their comfort zones, diving into collage and experimenting with paste-up street art—an exciting first for many! Seeing the street transform into bold expressions of resistance and identity was truly inspiring 🎨

Huge thanks to everyone who joined and made it so special, and a big shoutout to for leading such a powerful and creative workshop and for the paste-up session featuring female Paste-up artists from around the world💜

Yarn Play: The Power of Purple is a relaxed,  drop-in workshop celebrating creative expression through experimental yarn techniques. Hosted by Nicola J Reid a fibre artist whose practice focuses on traditional crafts, creativity and wellbeing . Using a range of purple yarns, participants will weave circular forms that explore texture, colour, and personal style. These individual pieces will be joined together to create a vibrant collaborative artwork, symbolising connection, imagination, and collective making. No experience is needed — just curiosity and a love of colour, craft, and creative play.

Nicola J Reid is a visual artist specialising in fibre art, fashion, and construction. Working with recycled yarns and reclaimed materials, she transforms discarded textiles into sculptural forms that honour heritage, sustainability, and feminine strength. Her practice blends craft, storytelling, and experimental process to create empowering, tactile artworks rooted in community and culture.
