🗣️BRT Community Sports & Fun Day a Resounding Success‼️
On Saturday 1st August 2026, Bangladesh Regeneration Trust UK (BRT) hosted its first-ever Community Sports & Fun Day at Jim Peters StadiumJim Peters Stadium, Mayesbrook Park, Upney, bringing together more than 500 members of the local community for a memorable day of sport, family fun, networking and community unity.
The event was delivered in partnership with the Muslim Community Association and Boxers Fitness Academy (BFA), marking the first collaboration between the three organisations and laying the foundations for stronger partnerships and future community initiatives.
A major highlight was the football tournament, organised and led by MCA on the adjoining green space, with 16 teams competing in a lively and competitive series of matches. Meanwhile, BFA brought energy to the stadium track with an action-packed Boot Camp and fitness drills, encouraging participants of all abilities to get active.
The TKO Boxing Club was also open as usual, providing an opportunity for visitors to see the club in action and showcase the talent and dedication of its boxers.
BRT played a key role in bringing together a wide range of sponsors, traders, community organisations and activity providers. A particular attraction was the unique Fresh Krishi Ltd UK vegetable market, alongside a fantastic selection of stalls and vendors offering ice cream, burgers, toys, cupcakes, mojitos, perfumes and clothing.
There was plenty for younger visitors too, with bouncy castles and Connect 4, while MCA provided additional food stalls and organised activities including the ever-popular Tug of War and Balloon Busting, keeping adults and families entertained throughout the day.
The event was officially opened in the presence of MCA Central President Hamid Azad, who attended as Chief Guest, alongside BRT Chairman Ibrahim Ali, and numerous executive members and community representatives.
With more than 500 people attending, the day demonstrated the strength, diversity and enthusiasm of the local community. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring people together through sport, recreation, family activities and community engagement.
The success of this inaugural event is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the volunteers, organisers, sponsors, partners, participating teams, traders and community organisations who contributed their time, resources and expertise.
BRT is proud of what was achieved through this first partnership with MCA and BFA. The overwhelming response provides an excellent platform to build on this collaboration, strengthen future partnerships, attract an even wider audience and deliver more impactful community events in the future.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make BRT Community Sports & Fun Day 2026 such a resounding success.
