Today is World Cancer Awareness Day.
Here is the reason I’m running the London Marathon. Look at that smile. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about Keely.
I hope that by taking part in the Marathon for I will be helping spread the word about this amazing charity and hopefully reaching some people that might not have heard of the charity before.

Today I went to London to meet some of the London Marathon team.
I have to admit I was close to not going today; I was so nervous about meeting everyone and I still don’t feel like a runner. I was worried about what people would think of me and my slow running. But now I know I was being ridiculous stressing because everyone is just so lovely and supportive of each other.
What an insane journey to take with a group of strangers. I’m proud of myself for stepping so far out of my comfort zone but at the end of the day it’s the people I love and beautiful Keely that are keeping me going.
Thank you everyone so much for donating to my fundraising page and for supporting me on this insane ride. I couldn’t do it without you all 💕

That’s it. Schools out and we are into the Christmas holidays.
This year we have really toned down Christmas. For once I don’t want to put so much pressure on myself to make a perfect Christmas for everyone… but me.
So this year it’s a quiet one. We’ve spread ‘Christmas’ over December so there’s time to see family and friends but also time to stay in and watch movies, play together and just chill out.
Wishing you all a magical Christmas in whatever form that takes for you.

What an amazing night!
Huge shout out to awesome Matthew and Victoria who helped organise and host my charity quiz night last night.
The night was a massive success and we raised over £1,230 for !

Sometimes the hardest things make me feel closer to you.
I never would have gone running in torrential rain out of choice before. But now I have to, I am.
The strange part is that when I find things hard or I have to push myself more, the more I think of you and imagine you talking to me, watching me, thinking about what you would say to me.
Love you Keely. You are always in my thoughts and with me everyday. A day doesn’t pass without something happening which I wish I could share with you. Love you forever.

Sometimes I walk past the shops and wish for things I really can’t have. I’d love Christmas themed bedding for everyone, or elegant autumn leaf wreathes to put in the lounge.
At the moment we are living in the period of getting by and using the money we do have on spending time with the children and doing experiences that fit in with our lives and budget.
What I realised today when I was browsing the shop window is that when the time comes for me to afford things like autumn themed crockery, I will use it to entice my children back home for pumpkin pie treats and Halloween visits to mum. When they are grown up enough to not live at home, it will give me a chance to bring us all together again as a family in fancy ways that aren’t part of our lifestyle now.
So no, right now I can’t have pumpkin themed Le Creuset baking dishes, but I’ve decided that it’s ok. Time flies fast enough so I’m sticking with embracing the here and now. And in the future maybe I will buy that fancy velvet pumpkin for the front door.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💕
To kick off the month, today I took part in the Southend 10K. I ran the whole thing without stopping and it took me 1hr 13 minutes. It felt like a huge step in the right direction ahead of the London Marathon.
I’m training 4 times a week and am determined I will complete the London Marathon for Keely and
