There's just under one month to go until the annual RAeS Light Aircraft Design Conference - have you booked your place yet?

Taking place on Friday 6 November 2026 in London and online, this conference is an excellent opportunity for the General Aviation community to come together to discuss the latest technological developments, hear practical case studies, and make new connections across the sector.

This week, on 1 October, the RAeS Manchester Branch welcomes Tim Canham, Principal Software Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), for a fascinating look at the future of spacecraft.

Tim will share insights on Moonfall and Skyfall, two JPL rotorcraft missions that are pushing the boundaries of powered flight beyond Earth and building on the success of Mars helicopter operations.

If you're interested in aerospace innovation, planetary exploration, or the engineering challenges of flying in other worlds, this is a talk you won't want to miss.
