Many of us experience loneliness at one time or another, but it’s often overlooked or dismissed. And this is an issue.
Not only is loneliness associated with an increased risk in depression, anxiety and even cardio-vascular disease, but it can be exacerbated in people who already struggle with their menta health.
However, warm human connections, conviviality and camaraderie have the power to make us feel good and even live longer. And most importantly, they are qualities that everyone can share.
During this years mental health awareness week, we’re challenging you to reach out to someone – it could be a close friend, or a family member you haven’t spoken to in a couple of years. Create those connections and help to combat the feeling of loneliness. 💙🧡
