Many of us experience loneliness at one time or another, but it’s often overlooked or dismissed. And this is an issue.

Not only is loneliness associated with an increased risk in depression, anxiety and even cardio-vascular disease, but it can be exacerbated in people who already struggle with their menta health.

However, warm human connections, conviviality and camaraderie have the power to make us feel good and even live longer. And most importantly, they are qualities that everyone can share.

During this years mental health awareness week, we’re challenging you to reach out to someone – it could be a close friend, or a family member you haven’t spoken to in a couple of years. Create those connections and help to combat the feeling of loneliness. 💙🧡

is traditionally one of the most joyous holidays in the Jewish calendar. Every year, Jews around the world celebrate by reading the Megillah, feasting, dressing up in fun costumes to remember the story, sending gifts of food to friends and even hosting Purim parties. We hope you manage to enjoy some happy and positive time with family and friends this Purim but also want to remind you to not feel the pressure if you’re finding the festivities a little overwhelming - remember to take some ‘you’ time, to breathe and that it’s okay not to be okay!

We don’t believe that Valentine’s Day should only be a celebration of romantic love. Use the day to spread the love to your family, your friends or anyone who you’re just feeling grateful for. But most importantly, we recommend that you use the day to give yourself the love you deserve! Treat yourself well with some self care or go and enjoy your favourite activities. The most important thing is to not let social media, shop displays, or pop culture dictate how you should approach February 14th - embrace the day in the way that best suits you 💙🧡
