Think Shakespeare isn’t for you? This might change your mind. 🎭

This September, CricklePlayers invites you to step into the wonderfully funny, magical and slightly chaotic world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with renowned local actor Mary Chater.

These aren’t sit-down-and-listen sessions. You’ll read together, get scenes on their feet, explore the characters and discover what happens when Shakespeare is actually played, rather than just read.

Never acted before? Perfectly fine. Never read Shakespeare? Also fine. All you need is a little curiosity and a willingness to join in.

🎭 No acting experience required
📖 Participants will need the Arden Shakespeare edition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

☀️ A little summer break for Cricklewood Library

Just a quick note for our neighbours that Cricklewood Library will be closed from Monday 17 August for two weeks, reopening on Wednesday 2 September.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our little community library. Whether you come in to borrow books, attend an event, meet friends or enjoy something from the café, it’s always lovely to see you.

We’ll be closing for a short two-week summer break from Monday 17 August, and we’ll be back and ready to welcome you again on Wednesday 2 September. 📚

A big thank you to everyone who visits, supports the library, joins our events and activities, or simply pops in for a book, a coffee or a chat. 💛

Join us for a beautiful Zen-inspired contemporary floral workshop, where flowers, creativity and mindful making come together.

You’ll be guided through the art of creating a beautiful contemporary floral arrangement inspired by Japanese floristry — focusing on shape, balance, space and natural beauty. 🌸

Beginner friendly so come along, take a breath, get creative and enjoy some well-deserved me time. 🤍

These are small intimate sessions with only 6 places per workshop. So book in early!

This morning, our wonderful parkrun community came together to celebrate one of our regular runners reaching an incredible milestone.

It’s always a pleasure to see people gathering at Cricklewood Library after their run—sharing stories, enjoying a well-earned coffee and homemade cake, and celebrating moments like these together.
