== Participation of The Association of Halal Retailers UK at the Halal Food Expo in Istanbul ==
Istanbul, Turkey: The Association of Halal Retailers (AHR) UK participated in the Halal Food Expo held in Istanbul.
This event, running from November 27 to November 30, 2024, brought together businesses and organizations from around the world to enhance cooperation and development in the halal industry.
A delegation of halal traders from London, Birmingham, and Leeds represented AHR at the event. The delegation included Maulana Ali Hasan Chowdhury, Maulana Hussain Ahmad, Maulana Foyzul Hasan Chowdhury, and Maulana Saifur Rahman.
During the expo, the delegation engaged in discussions with representatives and businesses from halal certification bodies in Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Korea.
In a meeting with Dr. Fatih Gultekin, Chancellor of Istanbul’s Lukman Hekim University, AHR members highlighted their goals of raising awareness about halal in the UK, combating fraud in the halal industry, and maintaining active communication with global certification bodies.
The Halal Food Expo is a significant event that attracts businesses and policymakers from various continents. This year, it also welcomed representatives from Afghanistan’s new Islamic government, further underscoring the event's diversity and importance.
AHR's participation in the expo reinforces its commitment to ensuring transparency in halal practices and raising awareness about the importance of verified halal products for consumers.
Outside the expo, the AHR delegation met with various businesses in Istanbul, visited commercial areas, and paid a visit to the grave of Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (RA), one of the prominent companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
