About last night! Age UK Richmond was delighted to attend and be part of the 1st Richmond VCS Networking Event, organised by London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and Richmond CVS.

The event brought together more than 70 local charities and voluntary sector organisations making a real difference locally, alongside Councillors and Richmond Council officers.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share more about our work as a local, independent charity supporting older people, their families and carers. We had some really valuable conversations, made new connections, strengthened existing relationships and explored opportunities to build even stronger partnerships across the borough.

A huge thank you to Richmond CVS and Richmond Council for organising such a valuable and inspiring event. We look forward to continuing to work together to support our local community. 💙

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of enjoying Connaught Opera’s Autumn Extravaganza, featuring the wonderfully talented trio Maria, Glen and Nicolas, kindly supported and hosted by Hampton Hill Theatre 🎶

For the fourth year running, they performed for nearly 100 older people, filling the room with beautiful music, joy and happiness.

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Richmond, Cllr Nancy Baldwin, and the Mayor’s Consort, who joined us for this very special afternoon.

A huge thank you to both Connaught Opera and Hampton Hill Theatre, who made the event possible. We’re already looking forward to next year’s extravaganza!

It's the start of . Have you fallen in the past year? You’re not alone. According to the NHS around one in three adults over 65, and half of people over 80, will have a fall each year.
