Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women's Organisation (KMEWO) KMEWO provides specialist service life changing support to Kurdish, Middle Eastern & North African women living in the UK.

KMEWO is committed to ending all forms of Violence against Women & Girls (VAWG) and Harmful Practices KMEWO has a small core staff of paid workers and a dedicated team of volunteers supporting Kurdish and Middle Eastern women and their children bridge cultural barriers, helping them to integrate more easily into life in the UK. r volunteering programme is aimed at Kurdish and Middle Eastern women who are interested in improving their chances of finding paid employment, improving their speaking, listening and reading English, making new friends or simply interested in helping to improving the lives of Kurdish and Middle Eastern women in Britain.
The service has been developed by our new Volunteer Coordinator, Antonia who has worked with women from a range of backgrounds in the Middle East and speaks good Arabic. Volunteering and work experience opportunities at KMEWO are designed to accommodate the family responsibilities that the women may have, helping to facilitate the achievement of their goals. KMEWO are also able to pay agreed volunteer lunch and travel costs.
