International Literacy Day on 8 September aims to remind policy-makers, practitioners, and the public of the critical importance of literacy for creating a more literate, just, peaceful, and sustainable society.

Today, we launch our report on the impact of our National Lottery funded ESOL and literacy classes for people living in homeless hostels in London, authored by Sarah Halsey. You can find out more information on Sarah here www.linkedin.com/in/sarah-halsey-rweproject

Today we observe International Women’s Day under the global theme "Rights. Justice. Action."
In the spirit of this year’s campaign, we encourage everyone to take one intentional action today—give credit to a colleague’s hard work, give time for a mentorship coffee, or give visibility to a project that deserves it.
