Last night TS Quail had our first unit night afloat this year.

Thanks to Sea Cadets Royal Docks Boat Station for hosting us, along with particular thanks to West Ham Sea Cadets and City of London Sea Cadets for helping to get so many of our cadets afloat by sharing staff and support.

They were lucky enough to go kayaking, sailing and rowing and had a great time.

It's been a very productive week for TS Quail SCC. Following a busy evening of cadet training, we had a lot of promotions to give out after extensive work from cadets and staff. Starting with the promotion of 4 cadets to Cadet First Class. Congratulations for all your efforts CFC M, F, R and T.

Alongside this R Austin was promoted from CI to PPO.
BZ all.

Then on Saturday we had a very busy day with:

- 2 cadets joining TS Royalist at Gosport for a week of world class offshore training with Sea Cadets Offshore

- 2 cadets doing their intermediate catering course with London Area Sea Cadets

- 11 cadets and 5 staff paying their respects for Anzac day and remembering the Gallipoli campaign at Islington Veterans' Association's event on Islington Green. Where the cadets got to sample Anzac biscuits and meet and be inspected by the Mayor and the Deputy Lieutenant of Islington.
With a particular thanks to CFC T for laying the NZ wreath.

All cadets were smartly turned out and did themselves and the unit proud.

Thanks to all the cadets, parents, carers and staff for making all of this possible.

If you'd like to get involved in any capacity, please do get in touch.

This is just one of the many things on this week... If you'd like to get involved, do get in touch.

Thanks to the amazing folks at City of London Sea Cadets who welcomed us on their Norfolk Broads trip this year, exploring the north broads area aboard a fleet of 4 cruisers, living, cooking and handling the ships as a team. All while developing life skills and making new friends.

Our cadets were supported by the generous people at The Ulysses Trust and had a fantastic time, coming back shattered but happy.

Huge thanks to the The Ulysses Trust and City of London Sea Cadets for making this possible, with a particular thanks to the amazing CFAV's who gave their time to run this incredible voyage.
