Haig Housing Trust is proud to have served the British Veteran community for over 100 years. As the leading housing provider for ex-Service personnel in the UK, the charity now owns over 1,500 properties across 50 locations. The Trust endeavours to help eligible Veterans in housing need, whether they are transitioning into civilian life or are simply in need of a helping hand.

The countdown to Sunday, 20th September is on. We have charity places available for both the Run Cheltenham Half Marathon and the Run Cheltenham 10k, and we want you on the team.

To show our support for your commitment, Haig Housing is paying half of your registration fee when you sign up for a charity place.

Now we’ve had a chance to take in the incredible energy of London Marathon 2026, let’s dive in.

We’re hugely grateful to our 18 amazing runners who took on this challenge not only for themselves, but to fundraise for the future of more veteran homes.

It was a warm, sunny day, and we were out in full force cheering from the sidelines. Watching their journey over the past few months - from training sessions to crossing the finish line has made us incredibly proud.

With headlining inspiring stories, records broken, and seeing fundraising targets achieved, this year’s marathon is a true celebration of dedication.

None of it would have been possible without our committed runners and the support of our wider community, so thank you! 🏡

The growing need for housing continues to exceed the number of homes we have available.

Last year, we received over 750 applications yet were only able to provide homes for 1 in 9 applicants. There is a growing need for housing veterans and their families. We are focused on increasing the number of homes for those who need them.
