A huge congratulations and thank you to the Tough Mudder team, who have raised an incredible £11,000+ through their latest challenge!

Coming to the hospital for dental treatment can be worrying for children and their families.

That's why we have funded a series of animated videos that help explain dental treatment in a way that's clear, engaging and reassuring.

Prabhleen Anand, UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust consultant in paediatric dentistry and lead on sedation for the department of paediatric dentistry said: “This animation has enabled us, as clinicians, to communicate more effectively, build trust, and support our patients and their families when it matters most.”

"If you’ve got the chutzpa you should do it!”

Last month, over 90 intrepid fundraisers as they made their way down the White Collar Factory building in London’s Old Street to support UCLH Charity.

Among them was inspirational 84 year old Angela who abseiled down the building.

Angela was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian in May 2025 and recently had surgery. She is now in remission, and is still undergoing treatment at UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Angela said, “I saw the event advertised at the Cancer Centre about three weeks ago and I thought well, the event is only three bus stops from my flat and it really is the cowards way out as all I have to do is stand still and there would be lots of people looking after me, so I signed up! The hardest part was walking up the gallows!

“I am pleased with myself for doing it - and my friends have been so generous in supporting me on my Just Giving page."

We are delighted to launch ‘A Slice of Support’, a new initiative delivered in partnership with ICCO pizzeria, bringing weekly pizza gatherings to patients across UCLH - University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The pizza gatherings provide teenage and young patients with an opportunity to get together and enjoy moments of normality, offering a welcome break from the busy hospital environment. Crucially, it gives them something positive to look forward to.

“A huge thank you to everyone involved in donating and delivering the pizzas to the hospital. Your generosity and kindness brought smiles to the faces of our young patients and made a real difference to their day. We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping to brighten the hospital experience for the children and young people” - play services team

Good luck to everyone taking on The London 10K tomorrow! Our cheer squad will be out on The Strand from 9am, supporting . We’ll be cheering until the last runner has passed, then heading to Trafalgar Square to meet the team for some well‑earned refreshments.

Thanks to everyone who’s supported UCLH Charity Week especially our charity ambassadors!
