*Suspicious package on Golders Green Road,*

Police have cordoned off Golders Green Road between Princes Park Avenue and the North Circular Road investigating a suspicious package.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes. Please follow all police directions and do not attempt to enter the closed section of the road.

Due to the extreme hot weather, if your refuse and recycling bins were scheduled to be collected on Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 or Friday 26 June, these collections will now commence earlier than usual, from 4:00am to help our crews safely complete as many scheduled collections as possible before temperatures are forecast to reach 30°C.

Please leave your refuse and recycling bins out at the boundary of your property by 4.00am on your collection day.

We will work to complete as many collections as possible.

However, if extreme conditions prevent us from completing some collections, we will aim to return and collect any missed bins on the following day, or no later than the day after.

If there are any areas that we are unable to collect from, this will be communicated on the council’s website here: https://www.barnet.gov.uk/recycling-and-waste/bin-collections/bin-collection-updates

If your bin is not emptied as scheduled, please leave it out at the boundary of your property for collection.
