Every8Minutes Every 8 Minutes a child goes missing in India. They are exploited, abused and sold into slavery. This campaign will work to stop modern day slavery.

Today, India is home to nearly half the world's 30 million slaves; 58% of whom are trafficked for sexual exploitation. Their average age is just 12. Some prostitutes are as young as 5. India also has the highest number of child labourers. Children here are sold for less than the cost of a buffalo, many by their own parents. Poverty, society's tolerance for child labour, and insufficient law enforc

ement are the root causes, and the reasons why this gross violation of human rights persists.The project will tackle child slavery from a range of angles. Through awareness and prevention campaigns, rescue operations and rehabilitation, we will protect over 100,000 children across 4 trafficking ‘hotspot’ cities in India.
