Fundraising to provide vital support to the to the neonatal and children’s intensive care unit at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

COSMIC supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte's Hospitals by helping patients and their families, and enabling our dedicated team to treat hundreds of critically ill children each year. We raise money to support the COSMIC wards by:-

• Purchasing vital state of the art medical equipment that helps save babies and children’s lives

• Funding inte

rnationally significant research into the causes, effects and treatment of life-threatening neonatal & childhood diseases

• Providing accommodation and support for families and guardians of patients

• Enabling health professionals involved in children's and neonatal intensive care access to up to date training and education, aiding development and career progression

At Cosmic we understand leaving intensive care is not the end of the journey, which is why we were so pleased to roll out our Post PICU Support Programme in 2025 to bridge the gap between hospital and home. What a day on the water! 🦆🐲

From thousands of ducks bobbing along the canal 🐥💛 to the fierce paddling of our dragon boats 🔥 — this year’s races were a huge success and raised vital funds for Cosmic.

Huge congratulations to RELX for taking the crown, and to second and third place winners, DDB Remedy and Takeda. Great effort by Addoplay who won the prize for best fancy dress costumes. And not forgetting the lucky duckies that floated to victory in the rubber duck race! 🏆

A massive thank you to every team, everyone who sponsored a boat or duck and every spectator who came to cheer with us.👏

Partnership brings more smiles to St Mary’s Hospital ✨

Cosmic is proud to partner with Spread a Smile to double the joy at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at St Mary’s Hospital 💫

Thanks to this new partnership, magical bedside visits from entertainers like fairies, magicians, singers and therapy dogs 🐾 will now increase to twice a month, to provide light relief to children and their families during a very difficult time. 💖

As our CEO Susannah Forland says: “Together we can reach more families and support them with compassion, care, and a little magic when it’s needed most.”

Cosmic Walk 2025! ⭐

What a day we had!! This event is so close to our hearts because it brings our entire Cosmic family together - young and old. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us and helped make the magic happen.

Together, we raised more than £7,000 – but more than that, we came together in support, in appreciation, in memory, and in shared experiences.

What an unforgettable day! We are beyond proud of our amazing London Marathon 2025 team – every single one of you showed such strength, determination, and heart, not just on the day but throughout months of training and fundraising. 💪🩷

Together, you’ve raised an incredible £70,500 for Cosmic! – helping to support the babies and children in intensive care at St Mary’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital. Your dedication will have a lasting impact on the lives of so many families.

We were honoured to cheer you on from the sidelines, watching you run not just for Cosmic, but for the loved ones who’ve experienced the ICU journey first-hand. This was more than just a race – it was a powerful act of love, strength, and solidarity.
