πŸ“£Arts Emergency Mentor Recruitment is now OPEN!!

🎞 Watch this short film to hear what our amazing mentors Sabira, Luke and Barbara have to say about their experience mentoring a bright, curious, creative young person.

Mentoring involves anything from sharing knowledge and skills to chatting about interests and plans. It's simple but incredibly impactful.

Mentors are trained and supported throughout the programme.

And it's not only young people that get something out of it, mentors find it hugely rewarding and find it re-ignites their passion for their own work too. 🌟

🚨 Registration to be a mentor in 2027 is NOW OPEN! 🚨

We're looking for 450 volunteers in London, Greater Manchester and Merseyside to mentor a young person aged 16-18 in 2027.

Arts Emergency mentors are hand-matched with a bright, curious young person. They meet for one hour a month for 12 months, share their experience, offer encouragement and help their mentee navigate the path beyond school or college.

Mentoring is simple and impactful because sometimes, one conversation, one introduction or one person believing in you can change everything.

We'll provide training, ongoing support from our mentoring team, and opportunities to connect with other mentors throughout the programme.

Do something impactful today, register to mentor! Become a mentor πŸ‘‰ https://www.arts-emergency.org/get-involved/become-a-mentor

Really recommend watching this clip from an interview of Stewart Lee with Chris McDonald for Stockton North featuring an honourable mention of Arts Emergency!!

Key points:
πŸ”΅ Exposure to arts and culture helps you understand language and ideas. A culturally literate population are less likely to make the kind of dangerous political choices that we're moving towards
πŸ”΅ Arts Emergency does simple, practical things for young people from marginalised backgrounds to pursue their aspirations
πŸ”΅ Arts and culture improves people's lives

What Arts Emergency does is impactful for thousands of marginalised young people but it goes beyond this, it's vital for building fairer communities and a representative society.

If you can, please donate Β£3 a month or your equivalent to sustain our work πŸ‘‰ https://www.arts-emergency.org/donate
