Arts Emergency is an award-winning mentoring charity and network. Our mission is to help young people We provide guidance so they can chart their own course.

We help young people from underrepresented backgrounds break into the arts and humanities. Since 2013, we've opened up opportunities in higher education, the media and arts. We now support over 750 young people in London, Merseyside, Manchester and Thanet. We create connections to help them get ahead.

Mentoring involves anything from sharing knowledge and skills to chatting about interests and plans. It's simple but incredibly impactful.

Mentors are trained and supported throughout the programme.

And it's not only young people that get something out of it, mentors find it hugely rewarding and find it re-ignites their passion for their own work too. 🌟

🚨 Registration to be a mentor in 2027 is NOW OPEN! 🚨

We're looking for 450 volunteers in London, Greater Manchester and Merseyside to mentor a young person aged 16-18 in 2027.

Arts Emergency mentors are hand-matched with a bright, curious young person. They meet for one hour a month for 12 months, share their experience, offer encouragement and help their mentee navigate the path beyond school or college.

Mentoring is simple and impactful because sometimes, one conversation, one introduction or one person believing in you can change everything.

We'll provide training, ongoing support from our mentoring team, and opportunities to connect with other mentors throughout the programme.
