Chevening Alumni Alliance is happy to invite Chevening alumni to a webinar on the Innovator Founder UK Visa, organised by Envestors, an official partner of the UK Department for Business and Trade.

This session is for alumni involved in innovation, tech, entrepreneurship, or investment 💡🤝 and will cover the Innovator Founder visa as well as other UK visa options for founders and professionals.

⚠️ Important: The Innovator Founder visa is available only to Chevening alumni who have lived in their home country for two years after returning.

On World Humanitarian Day, we honour Chevening alumni who lead with courage and compassion, responding to crises, supporting displaced communities and rebuilding lives in the face of conflict and disaster.

Chevening alumna Alfiana has spent nearly a decade championing criminal justice reform and human rights advocacy, from grassroots legal aid to shaping policy and contributing to UN legal opinions on arbitrary detention.

As the world races to harness AI’s potential, Chevening alumnus Nikhil Naren is ensuring innovation doesn’t outpace the rights and protections it demands.

Nikhil pursued a Master of Laws in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications at Queen Mary University of London. There, he deepened his expertise at the intersection of law and technology—engaging with global experts and contributing to impactful projects like the Microsoft-funded Cloud Legal Project.

Back in India, Nikhil is championing rights-based tech regulation and helping shape the future of AI governance.

Today, on International Girls in ICT Day, we’re thrilled to celebrate Chevening Alumna Baydaa Abdulhasan, a passionate data analyst with extensive experience in the telecom and banking sectors.

As a dedicated advocate for women's empowerment, she has inspired many women to break barriers and pursue careers in tech. Her journey is a powerful testament to resilience and ambition. Baydaa is a 2022-2023 Chevening Scholar from Iraq and studied for an MSc in Data Analytics at London Metropolitan University.

Today, on , we celebrate Chevening Alumnus Anjal Niraula, a leader in off-grid solar energy who is transforming Nepal’s energy landscape. As General Manager of Gham Power, he has spearheaded the installation of over 2.5MW of solar microgrids across 2,000+ projects—bringing clean, reliable electricity to remote communities and reducing dependence on harmful fuels.

A true champion of renewable energy innovation, Anjal is helping shape a greener, more sustainable future 🙌
