Day 3 of 49 - Couch to 100 Miles.

Today, I continued my journey toward the 100-mile run with a steady, structured session. My training plan included a 1/2-mile warm-up walk, followed by a 1-mile run, and finished with another 1/2-mile walk to cool down. I’m excited to announce I’ve partnered up with John Stocker, a former world record holder, who is writing my plan for the next 46 days. With his guidance, I’m feeling more confident than ever to build the endurance I’ll need for the big day. Let’s go!

Couch to Running 100 Miles – Day 2 of 49

Day 2, and the legs feel good, but my heart rate was way up, higher than I wanted. It’s been awhile, and the body’s making sure I remember that! Today was all about finding some rhythm without pushing too hard.

I kept it steady, focusing on pacing, but there’s definitely work to be done to keep the heart rate in check. Tomorrow, I’ll ease up a bit more and see if I can bring it down. We have started to let things build and that’s day 2 in the bag ——- onward we go!

Couch to running 100 Miles – Day 1 of 49

Right, here we are. Day 1 of the mission to hit 100 miles in 49 days, all leading up to the big event in Malta: running 100 miles in under 24 hours. I’m coming at this after some time off (and a few extra pounds…), so yeah, there’s a bit of a mountain to climb. But I’m here, lacing up, and taking the first steps.

Today was all about shaking off the rust and finding some rhythm. It wasn’t pretty, but it’s a start. I’ll be checking in every day with the good, the bad, and whatever else comes up. So, cheers to day one – let’s see what happens!
