It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mariazelle Gunatilake, one of Sri Lanka’s most beloved and celebrated vocalists.

Mariazelle was not only an A-listed singer whose timeless songs have touched the hearts of generations, but she also holds a special place in the history of the Musaeus College Past Pupils Association (UK). We were honoured to have her perform at one of our very first Dinner Dances, where her beautiful voice and captivating stage presence made the evening truly unforgettable.

Her remarkable musical legacy, warmth, and immense contribution to Sri Lankan music will continue to live on through the countless songs she gifted to the world. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

On behalf of the Committee and members of the Musaeus College Past Pupils Association (UK), we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mariazelle’s family, friends, fellow musicians and all those whose lives she touched through her extraordinary talent.

May her soul rest in eternal peace 🙏

All good things come to an end!!! It is time to say goodbye for now as Lanthra Perera heads back to Sri Lanka after a fantastic performance at the Midsummer Gala 2026 organised by the Musaeus College Past Pupils Association (UK).

Roshani De Silva and I were delighted to see him off at the airport today. Safe travels Lanthra and thank you for the wonderful memories.
