Some images from today's VJ Memorial Service. Following the service Anthony Truett of the Association of Far East Prisoners of War presented our Officer with an insignia badge in recognition for his support as bugler. Major Michael has supported and a wreath been placed by Chalk Farm Corps since 2019 and before his appointment the Corps often provided a Bandsman. Maureen Gray laid a Salvation Army wreath today in memory of all those who lost their lives in the Far East.

Today we welcomed a team from Territorial Headquarters who cooked for our lunch club and led our CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) Club. Everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship.

Our welcome space is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am - 4 pm serving teas, coffee, light lunches, cakes and sweet treats. At Chalk Farm we want to provide a place to be. For those who want to engage in an activity we have table top games, mindfulness and wellbeing resources and opportunity to converse and make friends. Every Wednesday afternoon we also have a craft group and Knit-&-Natter. A warm welcome to all in a cool air-conditioned space!

We thank who attended our drop-in on Monday. 18 haircuts were given and 45 guests enjoyed a freshly cooked meal.

At our Welcome Space we have a place for quiet reflection and prayer offering opportunity to step off the city streets and find a place of refreshment. A range of prayer and mindfulness resources are available in this space alongside an invitation at 12 noon to share in a short Bible reading and prayers of intercession 🙏 All are welcome.
