As the summer holidays are approaching, we are preparing to support many young people and families in our community.

We are planning a music camp for young people and continuing our regular support services, but we need some essential items to make this possible.

We have created this Amazon list with the items we urgently need.

Here's a link to the full list: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2FVAZFS0DH5BO?ref_=wl_share

If you are able to help in any way, we would be so grateful.

Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.

πŸ™ Please consider supporting us and being part of something positive this summer.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

RIP Fin πŸ’”

This is a message from our founder, Marie.

My son goes to Primrose Hill, and hearing this terrible news has really shaken me.

It’s heartbreaking to think that something like this could happen to any of our children.

All Fin was doing was trying out his new camera. My own son studies film and photography and spends time in the same area, which makes this feel even closer to home. It really shows how vulnerable young people can be.

No parent should have to wake up in the middle of the night just to check on their child. No parent should be phoning their child every minute of the day, not to say hello, but to check if they're safe.

I'm not sure about other mothers, but I constantly worry about my son. And the only time I can rest is when he's home, then I can relax.

This has to stop.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Stop knife crime on your streets.

RIP Fin πŸ’”

STORM founder Marie Hanson met with Tooting MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan earlier this week.

Thank you to Dr Rosena for inviting us to speak at a roundtable discussion on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls.

It was a powerful and important discussion on what we can do locally to strengthen support for women escaping domestic abuse.

Together we're stronger.

Stop the silence. End domestic violence.

A big thank you to everyone who came to our event yesterday at πŸ’œ

Over 90 people turned out to hear our inspiring guest speakers talk about domestic violence and help our fight to combat all forms of domestic abuse.

We especially want to thank Kanya King, the founder of The MOBO Awards, for hosting us. She is one of the main reasons we exist. She believed in us, and her funding helped us get on our feet 22 years ago. And through the years, she's remained steadfast in her passion and commitment to our work.

And huge thanks to everyone who supported us on the day. It means a lot to us.

It's International Women's Day tomorrow - please take a moment to celebrate the special women in your life.

It's totally unacceptable that 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their adult lives. We won't stop campaigning on this issue until we live in a world where no woman suffers from abuse that is, sadly, all too common.

Stop the silence. End Domestic Violence.
