The events of the last few days confirm once again what we have known all along: russia is a terrorist state. They cannot be trusted. They do not respect rules, keep promises, or value human life.

Help us support people affected by war by providing urgent medical care, evacuation vehicles, and humanitarian aid.

πŸ•―οΈ 40 Years Since Chornobyl

On 26 April 1986, an explosion at Reactor No. 4 of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant became one of the worst nuclear disasters in history. Caused by a failed experiment and serious safety violations, it released vast amounts of radioactive material across Europe.

Decades later, its legacy continues. In 2022, the Chornobyl zone was occupied by Russian forces, once again putting nuclear safety at risk and highlighting the ongoing global importance of this site.

To commemorate this date, we organise a documentary screening.

🎬 Join us on 1 May for a screening of Chornobyl 22
Directed by Oleksiy Radynski, this powerful short documentary captures the 2022 occupation through covert footage and personal testimony. The film was developed as part of The Reckoning Project, documenting war crimes in Ukraine.

🎀 Panel discussion with:
β€’ Kateryna Shavanova – science researcher & radiation safety expert
β€’ Alan Flowers – long-time advocate for Chornobyl-affected communities
β€’ Alison Cameron – speaker sharing reflections on the long-term human impact of Chornobyl, based on her experience in the region.
β€’ Neil Smith (ATOMIK) – co-founder of The Chornobyl Spirit Company, a social enterprise supporting Ukraine through sustainable initiatives, including a unique spirits project from the Chornobyl region.

🍸 Includes a special ATOMIK tasting, with proceeds supporting a charitable cause.

On the 14th of April we had the honour of co-hosting The Light of Freedom, a special fundraising dinner at the , in partnership with the UK–Ukraine Resilience Initiative, and .talent

Thanks to our generous donors, nearly Β£20,000 will be directed towards the purchase of specialised pickleball wheelchairs, supporting recovering defenders on their journey back to active life and sport. As part of this recovery pathway, Ukrainian veterans will represent their country this August at the English Open 2026 in Birmingham - one of the world’s largest pickleball tournaments, bringing together over 3,000 players from more than 45 countries.

In addition, a portion of the funds will support the purchase of EcoFlow power stations and critical medical supplies, including tourniquets.

We are sincerely grateful to our donors, partners, and everyone who made this event possible. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by war.
