A fantastic start to our new season of YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime Concerts!

Thank you so much Petar Pejčić and Nour Ayadi for such a beautiful programme of Dvořák, Debussy, Fauré, Chopin, and some surprise Shostakovich to finish.

An extraordinary audience, too. Thank you to the many people who joined us, and to the iconic Wigmore Hall.

🇮🇹 The second YCAT residency begins this week, as head to Tuscany for five days of intensive rehearsal, artistic exchange, outreach and performance at the beautiful Forum Fondazione Bertarelli ().

They’ll be joined by violist and former YCAT artist with the Doric Quartet, , expanding the Trio into a piano quartet as they develop new repertoire together.

The residency culminates in concert this Saturday, with Mozart’s Piano Quartet in E flat major, Nicola Campogrande’s Urban Gardens and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3.

YCAT pianist Callum McLachlan is on a mission to champion C. P. E. Bach as a seriously underrated composer. 🎹

We got our first glimpse of that mission when Callum included the Sonata in F-sharp minor in his YCAT Final Audition at Wigmore Hall earlier this year.

The YCAT Wigmore Lunchtime series kicks off on 6th October! 🎻

Petar Pejcic returns to the stage where he was selected at the 2025 YCAT International Auditions. Joined by pianist Nour Ayadi, he performs a mixed programme of Dvořák, Debussy, Fauré and Chopin.

A special concert for YCAT artist Will Duerden, who takes to the stage with Royal Northern Sinfonia this weekend - as both soloist and director!

Will joined Royal Northern Sinfonia in 2025, and on Saturday leads the orchestra through a brilliantly varied programme spanning centuries, from Biber and Lully to Bruch, Holst and Bottesini.

In this video, Will performs Bottesini’s Capriccio di Bravura - also featured in Saturday's concert. 🎶
